Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Frontdoor Verification Bot, its verification system, website, dashboard, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By interacting with the Service, submitting a verification application, or accessing the administrative dashboard, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

The Frontdoor Verification Bot is intended exclusively for communities whose members must be 18 years of age or older.

By submitting an application, you represent and warrant that:

You are at least 18 years old.
All information you provide is truthful and accurate.
You are submitting the application on your own behalf.

Providing false or misleading information—including falsely claiming to be 18 or older—may result in immediate denial, removal from participating communities, permanent bans, or other moderation actions.

2. Verification Process

Submitting a verification application does not guarantee acceptance into any Discord server.

Each participating server independently determines whether an applicant is accepted.

The Service may:

Collect information needed for verification.
Generate automated moderation indicators.
Present your application to authorized staff.

Final decisions are always made by human moderators or administrators of the server unless otherwise configured by that server.

Server staff may:

Request additional information.
Deny an application without explanation.
Revoke approval at any time.
Apply their own community rules in addition to these Terms.

3. Community Standards

Use of the Service may be denied or revoked for behavior including, but not limited to:

Hate speech or discrimination.
Harassment, threats, or abusive conduct.
Grooming, predatory behavior, or coercion.
Using communities primarily as dating or hookup services where prohibited.
Sharing sexually explicit content outside designated areas.
Spam or malicious activity.
Attempting to bypass verification requirements.
Misrepresenting your identity or age.
Using alternate accounts to evade moderation.
Attempting to exploit vulnerabilities or interfere with the Service.

Participating communities may enforce additional rules beyond those listed here.

4. Bot Accounts

Discord bot accounts are automatically removed from participating servers unless explicitly approved or whitelisted by that server's administrators.

This policy exists solely for security and moderation purposes and is not a judgment regarding the legitimacy of any bot.

5. Availability of the Service

The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

We do not guarantee:

Continuous uptime
Uninterrupted operation
Error-free functionality
Compatibility with all Discord changes
That any feature will remain available

Features may be modified, suspended, or removed at any time without prior notice.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree not to:

Abuse the verification system.
Submit fraudulent applications.
Attempt to circumvent moderation.
Reverse engineer or exploit the Service.
Interfere with system operation.
Access data belonging to other communities without authorization.

7. Administrative Dashboard

Access to the administrative dashboard is restricted to authorized Discord users.

Administrators are responsible for:

Protecting access to their Discord account.
Maintaining the confidentiality of their login session.
Ensuring only authorized individuals use their administrative privileges.
Using collected applicant information solely for moderation purposes.

Abuse of administrative privileges may result in suspension or termination of access.

8. Intellectual Property

The Frontdoor Verification Bot, dashboard, branding, software, documentation, and associated content remain the property of their respective owners unless otherwise stated.

You may not:

Copy or redistribute the software without permission.
Reverse engineer the Service except where permitted by applicable law.
Remove copyright or ownership notices.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operators, developers, contributors, and hosting providers of the Frontdoor Verification Bot shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive, or exemplary damages arising from:

Your use of the Service.
Inability to access the Service.
Moderation decisions made by participating communities.
Loss of data.
Service interruptions.
Discord platform outages.
Unauthorized access resulting from compromised Discord accounts.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is prohibited by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Service operators from claims, damages, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

Your misuse of the Service.
Your violation of these Terms.
Your violation of applicable laws.
Your infringement of another person's rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for violations of these Terms or to protect the security or integrity of the Service.

Individual Discord servers may independently remove or deny users regardless of their status elsewhere.

12. Changes to These Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically.

Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date.

Continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the Service operator resides unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Users remain responsible for complying with any laws applicable in their own jurisdiction.
